to air will tarnish. Sterling silver is a mixture of metals with at least 92.5% silver and 7.5% other metals.

And it is the other metals, usually copper, that oxidised in the air resulting in the build-up of a tarnished layer on sterling silver jewellery.

Silver tarnishes faster in areas with high humidity and air pollution. Additionally,
contact with materials like Cosmetics, hairspray, perfume, deodorant, body lotion, bleach, etc, can speed up the tarnishing process. The silver in your ring may also become oxidized by reacting with acids in your skin, the moisture in erspiration, or by reacting with some other lotion or chemical on your
skin.

Make-up present on the skin or clothing is the most common cause of blackening or smudging. Cosmetics often contain chemical compounds which are harder than the jewellery itself. These compounds can rub off very tiny particles of metal which appear as jet black dust.

We recommend you protect
your silver jewellery by wrapping it in the Silver by Mail fabric pouch you received with your jewellery or the plastic box and storing it in a cool, dry place, keeping individual pieces separate to avoid scratching.

Remember to remove rings and jewellery while applying make-up. Sport Cleaning Only...Using soap and water, or tooth powder or paste..clean the areas of your skin that will come into contact with the jewellery making sure all
soap is rinsed off and your hands are dry.

Please note that all our jewellery is meticulously handcrafted by master artisans. Due to this, there may be slight variations from one item to the next. Such irregularities are inherant in the manufacturing of handmade products, so you may expect minor distinction that will make your purchase special and one of a kind. We take all efforts to put in the details of dimensions, weight and color of our every Sterling Silver product. Please  note, we strictly do not exchange products based on the reasons that it's too long or too heavy.

We do not offer refunds once a product is purchased. We will replace it only if there is damage in transit.

In the unlikely event that your merchandise arrives damaged, you must email us a photograph   of the damaged product in your shipment within 24 hours of receiving  your order.  Upon verification and confirmation of the same, we will gladly offer you an exchange item.

Please do not courier the product to us without authorization from our team. We will not offer any replacement in such a case.
